Üsküdar University has implemented Türkiye's first and only smart academic performance management and improvement ecosystem "FTSmart" by adding a new one to its pioneering approaches in digital transformation. Built on the Activity Tracking System (FTS) developed five years ago under the leadership of President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, FTSmart analyzes the university's data from the past years and offers smart suggestions to improve academic performance.
It offers real-time data tracking and multidisciplinary study recommendations
Developed by the Digital Technologies and Software Development Department of the University under the visionary leadership of Chairman of the Board of Trustees Furkan Tarhan, the FTSmart system monitors the academic, administrative and educational-training activities of faculty members with real-time big data analysis and makes reasoned suggestions for multidisciplinary research.
It supports the mission of increasing scientific productivity...
FTSmart enables academics to follow their work in a measurable, transparent, and more efficient way while supporting Üsküdar University's mission to increase scientific productivity.
FTSmart enables all academic and administrative units that have relational connections with each other, including Application and Research Centers, Study Groups and student clubs, to work and interact with each other.
In line with corporate priorities, 4 years of data stored with its project, publication and research-oriented interface can be analyzed via FTSmart while the added Generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) can be trained with this data and produce instant answers to researchers' verbal and written questions.
It aims to move to a stronger position in the global academic arena...
FTSmart does not only analyze individual performance but also proposes opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration. In this way, faculty members can explore potential projects and evaluate interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities. This artificial intelligence-based system plays a critical role in shaping the university model of the future and aims to move Üsküdar University to a stronger position in the global academic arena.
It paves the way for new scientific discoveries with its interdisciplinary bridge...
The data-driven FTSmart system aims to increase not only the individual performance of academics, but also the academic achievement of the university as a whole. Developing artificial intelligence technologies not only provides faster and more accurate access to information in academia but also paves the way for new scientific discoveries by building bridges between different disciplines. Pointing out that FTSmart and Üsküdar University are a part of the transformation, Vice Rector Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel stated that the system contributes to the conduct of scientific studies on a more innovative and collaborative basis, and that the artificial intelligence-based system will also play a critical role in shaping the university model of the future.
It is described as a revolutionary development in the academic world
Noting that this innovative application stands out as an important step in the digitalization process of Üsküdar University, Ergüzel concluded his remarks as follows: "It is described as a revolutionary development in the academic world. It aims to increase scientific productivity and collaboration opportunities with its smart performance management and improvement ecosystem application, which is unique in Türkiye. FTSmart will continue its pioneering studies in academia to process corporate big data and make it available as a value-generating product as one of the important steps in the digitalization process of Üsküdar University."
