What is Transfer?
Transfer is a system that allows a student who is studying in one department of a university to continue his/her education in a different department in another university or in the same department in another university. Horizontal transfer; student's grade point average, ÖSYM score, etc. If the student meets the conditions, it can be done in all classes.
How to Make a Transfer?
Transfer outside the university can be done in 2 different ways as transfer with grade point average and transfer with central placement score. Details can be found below.

Transfer Support Scholarship
Scholarship support of up to 75% is provided to students who have any scholarship or discount at their home university and students who transfer from state universities.
Support scholarships are determined by the scholarship commission taking into account the student's previous scholarship status and base score.
Scholarship support is provided to students whose base score is 75%, 50% or 25% of the discounted options of the relevant department.
A 25% scholarship support (except Psychology) is provided to students whose base score is in the paid option of the relevant department.
Transfer Success Scholarship
If the weighted GPA of the student is between 3.50-4.00, an additional scholarship support of 3.50-3.74 10% and 3.75-4.00 20% is provided.
Students who have previously carried out important scientific studies, developed social responsibility projects or actively participated in school teams can receive additional scholarship support provided that they document these situations and the scholarship commission approves them.

Transfer with Central Placement Score (Additional Article-1) Application Requirements
If the student's central placement (OSYM) score in the year of enrollment is equal to or higher than the base score of the program he / she wants to transfer to, the student can apply for transfer, including preparatory class, intermediate classes and senior year, regardless of success status and program equivalence.
Candidates who have enrolled in higher education institutionsin our country, TRNC and foreign universities included in the Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide inthe YKS guide can apply.
Candidates enrolled in other higher education institutions abroad that are not included in the YKS guide cannot apply. TRNC and foreign universities included in the YKS guide can only apply for the fall semester.

Documents Required for Application (Abroad)
- Student Certificate (Notarized Turkish translation) (The original of the document taken within the last 1 month, the date on which the student enrolled in the University, the name of the class / faculty / department / program and the information that the student is currently enrolled must be clearly stated.)
- Transcript Document (Notarized Turkish translation) (All semesters must be written on the basis of year and class as of the first semester of taking the first course and the grade point average must be clearly stated in the 4-point system)
- Document Indicating Disciplinary Status (Notarized Turkish translation)
- A document stating that there is no obstacle to transfer (Notarized Turkish translation)
- If a registration freeze was made at the university where he/she is enrolled, a document for the semesters (Notarized Turkish translation)
- ÖSYS / YKS score card, ÖSYS / YKS placement certificate or documents deemed equivalent for the year of enrollment in the university in which he / she is enrolled
- Entry/Exit Certificate (to be obtained from the General Directorate of Security or E-Government printout)
- Photocopy of Passport (including all pages showing that you have entered and left the country)
- A document showing that the university is ranked in the top 400 in the world rankings (It must be ranked in the top 400 in at least three of the Times Higher Education (THE), QS World University Rankings, Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), CWTS Leiden Ranking).

Applications are made to the Student Affairs Department. The applications are examined by the commissions of the relevant faculties and the students who are deemed eligible are entitled to final registration.
If it is found out that the documents and information submitted by the students who have made their final registration are not correct, their relations with the Higher Education Institution are terminated as of the moment of detection, regardless of the semester. If the students in question have left the Higher Education Institutions, all documents (including diplomas) given to them are canceled and legal action is taken against them.
It is the transition between diploma programs with the same names or determined by the relevant administrative boards to be at least eighty percent of the same content.
In the second and third semesters of associate degree programs, in diploma programs that award bachelor's degrees; transfer applications can be made for the second and third grades in four-year education programs, for the second, third and fourth grades in five-year education programs, and for the second, third, fourth and fifth grades in six-year education programs.
The GPA of the student who will transfer according to the grade point average must be at least 60 out of 100 (2.29 out of 4.00). If the student does not meet the grade point average requirement for transfer, the central placement score of the department / program that the student intends to transfer to in the year in which the student takes the exam must be equal to or higher than the base score of the department / program he / she wants to enter.
If the student's central placement score in the year of enrollment is equal to or higher than the base score of the diploma program he / she wants to transfer to, the student can apply for transfer, including the preparatory class and senior year.
