About
The Directorate of Strategic Development and Quality operates as a unit that guides the university’s institutional development by adopting strategic management and quality-focused approaches in line with globalisation, developments in the scientific community, the concept of lifelong learning, and the needs of a knowledge-based society.
The Directorate continues its work in accordance with the Quality Assurance Guidelines; by taking the Graded Evaluation Framework established by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) as its basis, it contributes to ensuring that the university’s education and teaching, research and development, social contribution, and governance activities are conducted in line with national and international quality standards.
In line with a strategic management approach, the Directorate of Strategic Development and Quality collects, analyses and evaluates data and information aimed at improving management and services; examines external factors that may affect the university’s educational services; and conducts internal capacity analyses. Furthermore, it contributes to institutional development processes by conducting various studies to measure the effectiveness of services and stakeholder satisfaction levels.
The Directorate also coordinates the preparation of the university’s strategic plan and performance programme, evaluates implementation outcomes in line with established objectives, and carries out work aimed at developing performance and quality indicators.
Mission
To support the University’s institutional development in line with its strategic objectives; to effectively establish, implement and continuously improve strategic planning, performance management and quality assurance systems through a data-driven management approach; and to enhance stakeholder satisfaction by institutionalising a culture of quality in teaching and learning, research and development, community engagement and governance processes.
Vision
To be a unit that leads sustainable institutional development by adopting an integrated approach to strategic management and quality assurance; one that adheres to national and international standards, supports data-driven decision-making processes, and is recognised as a model in higher education through its practices grounded in continuous improvement.
