Prof. Sacide Efsun ÜRGER was born in Antalya. After graduating from Antalya Anatolian High School, She completed her medical education at Ankara University. She completed her Radiology Specialization at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2004. After working for a year at MESA hospital in Ankara, she was assigned as an assistant professor at İzzet Baysal University, İzzet Baysal Faculty of Medicine. She gave lectures to both department assistants and medical faculty students for two years. She continued her article studies, which started during her assistant years. She returned to Ankara two years later and worked in the field of Neuroradiology in the Department of Radiology at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine for two years. She attended department assistant classes and trainings and continued to write academic articles. Later, she worked on diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) for two years at Duke Medical School in the USA and has articles here as well. After returning to Türkiye, she worked at Medipol Mega Hospital, İstanbul Surgery Hospital, and came to Antalya to work at Yaşam Hospital and Medstar Hospital. She is the mother of two 12-year-old girls. She is currently working as a Professor Doctor at Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services, Radiotherapy Program.
