He was born in Bursa, 1950. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, İstanbul University in 1973 as a medical doctor. In 1975, he completed his basic course in air medicine and became a flight doctor. In 1977, he completed his specialist education at the Gülhane Military Medical Academy and in 1980 became a psychiatrist. In 1980, he was assigned to Eskişehir Air Hospital. In 1992, he became associate professor in the field of adult psychiatry. In 1998, he retired from the Air Force with the rank of colonel. He is still the President of the Association of Aviation Medicine founded in 2000. He is the editor of the Aviation Medicine Bulletin, which started publishing in 2006 and is the only magazine in Turkey. He worked as a coordinator for 3 years at Civil Aviation Academy, which was established in 2010. In 2011-2014, he was the Director of Anadolu University Aerospace Medical Research and Application Center. In November of 2014, he started his position as a Professor at Üsküdar University. Dr. Muzaffer Çetingüç is married with two children.
