Gürkan Akgüneş was born in Istanbul in 1980. He has started to as a correspondent at Milliyet Daily Newspaper after graduating from the Faculty Of Communication Selçuk Universty in 2002. He has signed many news about policy, environment and city at News Research Department of Milliyet Newspaper. He got 'Agriculture Award' from ‘Agronomists Association of Turkey’ with a series of articles about organic agriculture. He still works as a manager in the news service of the newspaper and writes ecology articles every week in the columns that called "Bak Yeşil Yeşil" in Milliyet Pazar.
