Çiğdem SEZER ZHMUROV, Ph.D

Ass. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Sezer Zhmurov was born in 1983, in Bursa. Having completed her high school education in Yeşilköy Anadolu Lisesi in 2001, she carried on with her studies in Istanbul University, Department of Biology and graduated in 2006. She graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Molecular Biology-Genetics & Biotechnology Master’s  Program in 2009. Çiğdem Sezer Zhmurov recieved her doctorate degree from Istanbul Technical University, Molecular Biology-Genetics & Biotechnology Graduate Program in 2016, with the thesis study entitled “Investigation of Angiogenic Mechanisms Related to microRNA 126 Signaling Pathway Molecules”. She worked as a research assistant in Istanbul Bilgi University between 2014-2021 and was appointed as assistant professor to Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Uskudar University in March 2022. Her research interests include molecular mechanisms of cardivascular diseases, signaling molecules and pathways related to atherosclerosis and angiogenesis, as well as microRNAs.
