Çağla Güney was born in İstanbul in the year of 1998. She completed her primary and secondary education in İstanbul and she started her education at Haydarpaşa High School in 2012. She graduated from high school in 2016 and same year, she started university education in Acibadem University Molecular Biology and genetics program. Along the universty education, she worked as a intern at the laboratories working in the fields of rare diseases, autophagy, bioinformatics, and CRISPR. She wroted her graduate thesis on RNA CRISPR and graduated from the university with first rank in department and faculty in 2021.
In 2021, she started Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology Master Program at İstanbul Technical University. She continues her studies at yeast lab at ITU these days and she is in thesis stage of her master program.
She is working as a research assistant at Uskuadar University Molecular Biology and Genetics (English) Department since September 2022.
